Duran Duran concert

On 19th March, 2012 I saw Duran Duran at Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne, Australia. I went with Andrew , Kayla and Rosalie. The show was apart of the 2011-2012 All You Need Is Now tour. The supporting act was a dj who in my opinion was not very good. 9pm Duran Duran came on stage to an wall of screaming which didn’t last long as they got into the first song (before the rain). Simon Le Bon came out in a red and black military style jacket. The first song to get everyone on their feet was Planet Earth then A View to Kill was on fire.

Simon spoke about the new album before going into All You Need is Now. Nick spoke about Melbourne and how we invented some amazing objects which lead into blame the machines. Simon picked an audience member to lead everyone into The Reflex, which the whole audience started the song. after Come Undone Simon introduced the female singer and said she was to start Safe (In the Heat of the Moment). The atmosphere when they got to Girl Panic was electric.

During Tiger Tiger we were able to see our tweets on the screens using the tag #Duranlive. after that Simon came out in a sliverly shirt to sing Notorious, which got everyone up and grooving. When it came to Ordinary World Simon dedicated the song to the people of Syria. The whole room was moving along to Hungry Like The Wolf , Sunrise and Wild Boys. The songs they preformed for their encore were Girls on Film and Rio. During Girls on Film the band were introduced.

It was interesting to see the difference in noise level and movement between the old and new songs. i sang to all but one song for i didn’t know the words to The Man Who Stole a Leopard very well. The songs i stood up and danced to were:
