On the 27th November I attended the 6:30pm screening of break the silence: the movie at Village Cinemas at Knox city. It was good to finally be able to watch it in the cinema after the 2 lockdowns that Melbourne has had. It originally screened in September for the rest of the world including all other states and territories of Australia. The film showed the vulnerable sides of BTS while they went on their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour in 2019. There was a good mix of concert and behind the scenes footage to bring context to the thoughts the members were sharing.
The cinema wasn’t very full due to many screenings happening all over Victoria at the same time and also due to covid safe rules. I met 2 fellow armies that were experiencing a documentary film about BTS for the 1st time. We had some good laughs and I exchanged Twitter handles with one of them. I found out one of them was an army/stay like myself and we share a bias in Felix. The one mistake I made was leaving my glasses at home which meant I had to use the camera on my phone so I could read all the subtitles. Overall it was good to get out of the house and do something different for a change.
